Singapore/Asia documentary photographer Ricky Gui rush off to document the aftermath of the collision of St Vincent and The Grenadines-registered bulk carrier, MV Waily, damaged the Malaysian-registered tanker MT Bunga Kelana 3. Estimated 2,500 tonnes of crude oil spilled into the sea. Due to the wind condition, oil slick floated along the 13 kilometres coastline of East Coast Park, causing inconvenience to visitor.

More than 50 workers have been deployed for the cleansing operations within the shortest time. Sand contaminated by the oil sludge was disposed immediately. Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore had six response crafts on site to manage the spill too.
